Establish Music: Community Accessibility Workshops

Published Wednesday 12 October 2022

The community workshops are open to everyone (including disabled and non-disabled individuals, musicians and non-musicians) who are interested to learn more about accessibility pathways for disabled music practitioners within the music industry.

The workshops are designed to be fun, relaxed and interactive. There will be time to get to know everyone over drinks and morning tea, discuss current approaches to accessibility, explore the principles in the Accessibility Framework and to contribute ideas to future strategies.

The workshops will include:

  • Accessible networking - where attendees can chat and get to know one another with support from accessibility peers
  • An introduction to ‘The Framework’ - including an open discussion about current accessibility issues and the principles the framework promotes
  • A Q+A session - for participants to share their ideas and give feedback
  • An interactive accessibility co-design session - to explore ways in which we can work together to create solution
