If you’re in Los Angeles or heading that way soon, we are pleased to announce that Sounds Australia’s Glenn Dickie is our new acting Los Angeles Member Relations Representative. A familiar face to many a weary traveller, Glenn is currently in LA and is available to assist with questions or queries and meet with members and managers who are in town.
“Helping music creators export their talents is obviously a passion of mine, so I’m looking forward to meeting some of the amazing Australian and New Zealand members who are based in this part of the US or who are traveling through for sessions and business, and to support them as they pursue their international goals,” said Glenn.
Since 2013, Glenn has been part of Sounds Australia, Australia’s music export initiative, helping produce showcasing and networking events across a variety of international music conferences such as Folk Alliance International, Americanafest, South by Southwest, Jazzahead, Classical:NEXT, Reeperbahn Festival, Primavera PRO and The Great Escape to name a few.
Glenn has also been curator for SongHubs in India, Germany and Brazil and involved with a number of other SongHubs internationally.
Prior to Sounds Australia, he worked at EMI Music Australia in A&R, Promotions and Marketing roles for 12 years. He was also a longtime broadcaster on 3RRR and has played drums in various touring bands.
