Cue Sheets

Why Do I Have to Register Cue Sheets?

APRA AMCOS requires Cue Sheets are registered for every locally produced program available for broadcast or streaming across Australia and New Zealand to ensure music creators are fairly remunerated for the broadcast of their musical works. All music used in a production needs to be supplied regardless of how the music is sourced. This also applies to royalty free music.

Please note that just because a Cue Sheet has been registered it does not mean the works inside the Cue Sheet have been registered. If you are an APRA AMCOS publisher or writer member, please make sure you have also registered the works with us to make sure you will be paid on time.

When Should Cue Sheets Be Registered?

We use Cue Sheets to accurately pay broadcast and streaming royalties to our members whenever their works are used as part of a television, streaming or film production. Below is a guide to our registration due dates to pay our members, and members from overseas affiliated societies, on time. The sooner a completed cue sheet can be supplied, the sooner we can distribute associated royalties.

What If I Don't Know All of the Music Used in a Production?

We understand that on some occasions you are not able to provide the complete list of musical works present in a production or video game. In these instances, you can still submit a Cue Sheet to us however you will need to identify that the Cue Sheet is incomplete and provide reasons why you cannot include the details for all musical works used.
