2025 APRA Silver Scroll Awards Kaitito Kaiaka to be held in Ōtautahi

Story Published Wednesday 21 May 2025

APRA AMCOS Aotearoa are excited to announce we are bringing the 2025 Silver Scroll Awards Kaitito Kaiaka to Ōtautahi.

It will be a privilege to bring the event back to Te Waipounamu, having last hosted a southern event in 2017 with a celebration in Dunedin. Prior to that, the Silver Scroll Awards were held in Christchurch in 2009, so it has been a long time to wait for our south island members. We intended to hold the 2020 event in Ōtautahi, but were thwarted by the Covid pandemic, so it’s great to be returning this year.

We’re also delighted to be holding the event at the incredible Isaac Theatre Royal. The success of our 2024 awards evening, which was produced in a theatre style and held at the St James Theatre in Pōneke, Wellington, means we are keen to continue with the theatre format. It allows us to create intimacy with the audience, while at the same time making it accessible to a greater number of members, and it provides the opportunity to showcase a treasured heritage venue.

The awards will return to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland for 2026, which will include a celebration of APRA’s 100 year anniversary.
