2026 APRA Silver Scroll Awards Kaitito Kaiaka to be held in Tāmaki Makaurau at the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre
APRA AMCOS Aotearoa are excited to announce we are bringing the 2026 Silver Scroll Awards Kaitito Kaiaka back to Tāmaki Makaurau. We're also thrilled to be continuing the event in a theatre setting as we have done the past two years, and taking over the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre on Weds 14 October.
It will be a privilege to hold our 100th birthday celebration in such a prestigious venue that feels like an integral part of the history of live performance in Aotearoa.
The success of our 2024 and 2025 awards, which were held in Wellington and Christchurch respectively, and produced in a theatre style, means we are keen to continue with the theatre format. It allows us to create intimacy with the audience, while at the same time making it accessible to a greater number of members, and it provides the opportunity to showcase a treasured heritage venue.
Invitations to the expanded 100th birthday event will be sent out in coming months, and we will be thrilled to have our songwriter members and wider music community join us for a memorable celebration.
