Applications now open for SongHubs Tāmaki Makaurau 2026
APRA AMCOS, with the generous support of NZ On Air and the New Zealand Music Commission, are delighted to announce the next SongHubs in Tāmaki Makaurau for May 2026.
APRA AMCOS Aotearoa are beyond stoked to announce our first SongHubs for 2026. The week-long songwriting retreat will be held at Auckland's Roundhead Studios 12-17 May 2026, and will be steered by internationally acclaimed guest writers: Elizabeth Stokes, Rhys Lewis, and Jenn Decilveo ... with one further guest yet to be announced.
Available positions include:
- eight local positions for APRA members living in Aotearoa;
- three fully funded positions for APRA members living in Aotearoa, outside of the Auckland region;
- and one fully funded position for an APRA member based in Australia.
Fully funded positions include travel, accommodation, and per diems for the five days of the SongHubs workshop.
Applications are open to all APRA members, and close at 5pm Friday 3rd April.

THE WRITERS
Elizabeth Stokes
Tāmaki songwriter and performer Elizabeth Stokes is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of The Beths. Across four albums —Future Me Hates Me, Jump Rope Gazers, Expert In A Dying Field, Straight Line Was A Lie — The Beths have honed their singular sound, influenced by Antipodean jangle, indie rock, power pop and garage punk and laced with sublime four-part vocal harmonies. In 2023, The Beths took home the APRA Silver Scroll for 'Expert In A Dying Field', the title track of their 2022 album. Stokes' songwriting continues to top charts and has helped The Beths take home five Aotearoa Music Awards.
Rhys Lewis
Rhys Lewis is a London based artist, songwriter and producer whose music has quietly built a global audience. With two albums released to date and a catalogue approaching one billion streams across platforms, Rhys has toured sold out shows around the world. His songs have also found a life beyond streaming and radio, landing over 40 placements across film and television. Alongside his personal artist project, Rhys is an in-demand songwriter and producer. His cuts have amassed over 300 million streams, collaborating alongside artists as diverse as Rachel Chinouriri, Hajaj, Bakermat, Zak Abel, and Blair Davie.
Jenn Decilveo
Jennifer Decilveo, a New Jersey native, is a Grammy Award-winning songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who is recognised for her work across various platforms, and has received Brit Award, Ivor Novello, and Mercury Prize nominations. Decilveo's impressive portfolio of collaborators includes Hozier, Miley Cyrus, Phantogram, Bat for Lashes, Porridge Radio, Chelsea Wolfe, Manchester Orchestra and Sasami, as well as chart-toppers like Demi Lovato, Christina Perri, Fletcher, Beth Ditto, Melanie Martinez, and Marina and the Diamonds. Now based in Los Angeles, Decilveo excels in blending popular, experimental, and authentic musical styles.
