Entries now open for 2026 APRA Best Jazz Composition Award

Have you composed a piece of music that was released or broadcast to public for the first time between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026? You could be eligible for the 2026 APRA Best Jazz Composition Award.

Entries have opened for the APRA Best Jazz Composition Award, an award that celebrates the incredible, diverse works by Aotearoa Jazz music creators. Previous winners include Cory Champion, Louisa Williamson, Lauren Ellis, Lucien Johnson, Jake Baxendale.

The award will be presented at an event in Pōneke Wellington this October. The winner will receive a $1000 cash prize and framed certificate.

Any compositions/songs released between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026 may be eligible this year. For full terms and conditions, head to the entry form below.
