Jazz Industry Networking Session
Join us for a morning networking and information sharing session for Aotearoa jazz musicians with support from APRA AMCOS NZ, Recorded Music New Zealand, NZ Music Industry Commission, Music Manager’s Forum, SOUNZ and Wellington Jazz Festival.
Hear from and meet key representatives from these music organisations and how they connect with Aotearoa jazz musicians. Learn what opportunities exist, how to access them and how that can enhance and inform your own aspirations.
We’ll then look beyond Aotearoa, when local presenter and musician Nick Tipping will be joined online by international guests Modibo Keita, Senior Manager – Bookings, Concerts & Events at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and Dr Mace Francis - Festival Driector of Perth Festival for insights into the international festival landscape and what programmers are looking for when connecting with artists.
Whether you’re an emerging musician or already established in the industry, this is a chance to make connections, build your knowledge and better understand the opportunities available to take your music further.
