Applications open for APRA SongHubs Waikato 2023

APRA AMCOS NZ announce SongHubs Waikato, a week-long songwriting camp heading to Raglan this October/November. SongHubs Waikato will be curated by Jennie Skulander, lead singer of chart-topping, heavy metal group Devilskin. Jennie will choose the songwriters and producers to attend SongHubs Waikato and invite special guest writers to assist in each session.


Applications are now open to all Aotearoa APRA members and close 5pm Tuesday 12th September.

What: APRA SongHubs Waikato 2023, a live-in songwriting retreat in Raglan

When: 30 October – 3 November

Where: Raglan Sunset Motel

How it works:

SongHubs Waikato is a live-in songwriting retreat where successful applicants will spend a week in Raglan, collaborating with new artists each day under the guidance of Jennie Skulander and special guest writers.

Each day, Jennie will assign you to a different group to write a song with. This group will consist of a “lead” songwriter (for whom you’re writing a song) a writer/producer, one other songwriter, and a guest writer.

Each songwriter will get the opportunity to be a “lead” songwriter at least once and will work with different artists across the week.

We are offering 12 positions for SongHubs Waikato 2023:

  • 8 positions for songwriters
  • 4 positions for producers
