The team behind To The Front
have been busy developing a series of fun educational videos aimed at answering some of the burning questions of budding New Zealand musicians and songwriters.
The series developed with the support of the New Zealand Music Commission is an inspiring resource for rangatahi and educators around the country featuring ‘Top Tips’ from musicians including Julia Deans, Liz Stokes (The Beths) and Katie Lee (a To the Front programme alumni).
The idea for these videos came about as a way to share the To The Front kaupapa, resources and knowledge with the wider community - making what they do more accessible outside of the regions where their popular holiday programmes are currently hosted!
Created with the help of some of New Zealand’s top performers and educators, the series of 20 short videos aims to answer the burning questions of budding musicians. The videos cover a range of topics from performance and songwriting tips to recording basics (everything from how to use guitar pedals, to how to soundcheck for a show).
